A Brief History

International Game Technology was founded in 1975, as A-1 Supply, by a pioneer in the casino industry, William “Si” Redd, who would become known as the “king of slot machines”.

After working for years as distributor, and later founding a subsidiary of Bally Manufacturing, one of the oldest companies in the gambling industry, Redd went on to acquire the rights to video poker and established his own company.
