Moriarty Megaways Slot Review

Moriarty Megaways Slot Overview

Get ready to revisit Victorian England in this Sherlock-Holmes-inspired slot game from the team at iSoftBet. Sherlock’s long-lasting nemesis Professor James Moriarty takes centre stage in this new twist on the classic tale and rivalry. Don’t expect to see Andrew Scott or Benedict Cumberbatch making an appearance during this game, though. This one is inspired by the original Arthur Conan Doyle books and takes place in a fantastic Victorian England setting.

Theme & Design

This is one of the best looking slots around at the moment. The time and effort that has gone into bringing the characters in this slot and the period setting itself to life is nothing short of fantastic. The soundtrack also does a fantastic job of immersing you in the world – with an eerie sound feeling particularly fitting for Moriarty and his mysterious ways.

The backdrop to the reels is a sinister-looking Victorian London alleyway with dim streetlights that provide a flicker of light and a sepia tone to proceedings. The highest paying symbol on the board is Moriarty himself, while Sherlock and Watson both make appearances during a free spins round.

The rest of the symbols include the standard card symbols and then a collection of chess pieces, a Moriarty ring and a pocket watch which acts as the game’s wild symbol.

iSoftBet has taken a lot of time when designing this slot and the character work, in particular, is brilliant. The animations do a great job of bringing them to life and putting a new spin on a tale that we have seen adapted so many times before.

How To Play Moriarty Megaways Slot

While Moriarty is a famously mysterious figure, and the Megaways mechanic can sound quite daunting, playing Moriarty Megaways is a really easy process. Players need to start in the same way they would any other slot – by choosing their stake. The minimum available here is £0.20, while the maximum is £20, making this a fairly low bet game.

The game set-up is simple enough, with the slot having six reels. It has an RTP of 96%, making it a medium volatility title. The maximum amount that can be won on the game is up to 37,500x your stake, which is fairly substantial. It also comes with an auto-play mode so players can kick back and relax while the game does the hard work for them.

Moriarty Megaways Slot Features

Of course, you can’t talk about bonuses and special features without first mentioning the Megaways gameplay mechanic. This popular mechanic is a reel modifier that can offer players a whopping 117,649 different ways to score a win. It also comes with a cascading symbols feature that sees winning symbols replaced, providing players with a chance to win again. These also come with a 1x multiplier that increases by one every time you score a win.

The slot also boasts a cool mystery symbol feature. The mystery symbol is a magazine that will magically transform into another symbol on the reels, often leading to a good winning combination being secured.

The free spins are where the magic lies, though. This is activated when you land three or more of the bonus symbol in the game. The free spins game takes place with two new reels being added to the mix – one with Sherlock and the other with Watson. These are initially locked, but if you can land Watson or Sherlock symbols on the main reels, they will become open. When this happens, players can theoretically have  352,947 Megaways to win, which is huge by anybody’s standards.

Moriarty Megaways Slot on Mobile

You can take on Moriarty on your phone no problem. The slot was developed using HTML5 technology, meaning it plays very well across various mobile devices. It is supported by Android and iOS operating systems and is also available on some mobile casino applications.
